EV Charging Operator Price Comparison

Average, lowest, and highest prices per operator across all locations in Singapore. Sorted from cheapest to most expensive. Prices are per kWh unless otherwise noted and exclude parking fees, idle fees, and subscription discounts.

Singapore's EV charging market features several competing operators, each with different pricing models, coverage areas, and connector types. The table below ranks operators by their average per-kWh rate, making it easy to see which networks offer the best value. However, price is not the only factor — charger availability, reliability, and location convenience also matter. Use this data alongside our cheapest charger finder to make an informed decision.

Prices by Connector Type

CCS2 (DC Fast)

Avg: $0.77/kWh

Range: $0.39 – $0.89/kWh

1453 points tracked

CCS2 is the dominant DC fast charging standard in Singapore, typically 50–120 kW. Ideal for quick top-ups.

Type 2 (AC)

Avg: $0.69/kWh

Range: $0.37 – $0.89/kWh

10069 points tracked

Type 2 AC chargers are slower (7–22 kW) but usually cheaper. Best for overnight or workplace charging.

CHAdeMO (DC Fast)

Avg: $0.72/kWh

Range: $0.72 – $0.72/kWh

2 points tracked

CHAdeMO is used primarily by older Japanese EVs. Fewer stations than CCS2 in Singapore.

Prices by Power Tier

How does charging speed affect price? Faster chargers cost more to install and operate, so DC fast charging typically carries a premium over slower AC charging.

How to Save on EV Charging in Singapore

Beyond simply finding the cheapest charger, there are several strategies Singapore EV owners can use to reduce charging costs over time:

  1. Use subscription plans wisely: SP Mobility has offered subscription-based packages for condos and, in partnership with P.UP, hybrid EV charging plans that include discounted charging credits. Charge+ has also offered subscription plans for condominium residents. A subscription can make sense if you charge frequently at the same operator's network, but always compare the monthly fee against your actual charging volume and check the operator's app for current terms.
  2. Charge during off-peak hours: Some operators or electricity retailers offer time-based pricing with lower rates late at night or early morning. If you have access to HDB carpark chargers, overnight charging is often less competitive because demand is lower. Check your operator's app for any time-of-use rates.
  3. Choose AC over DC when time permits: AC chargers (7–22 kW) are generally cheaper per kWh than DC fast chargers. Public AC chargers typically range from about $0.45–$0.82/kWh, while DC fast chargers range from roughly $0.55–$0.89/kWh based on operator-published rate cards and LTA DataMall listings as of mid-2026. If you are parking for several hours — at work, overnight, or during a shopping trip — an AC charger delivers the same energy at a lower cost.
  4. Avoid idle fees: SP Mobility and Shell Recharge charge $0.50 per minute after a grace period if your car stays plugged in after charging completes, capped at $40 per session. Set a timer or enable push notifications in the operator's app to remind yourself to move your vehicle.
  5. Compare before you charge: Use our cheapest charger finder to check prices at nearby stations before committing to one. A short drive to a cheaper charger can save a few dollars per session.
  6. Consider home charging for high mileage: If you drive enough to justify the installation cost and have a suitable parking spot (landed or condo with approval), a home charger can pay for itself over a few years. See our home vs public charging comparison for a detailed cost breakdown.

How We Calculate Prices

Our pricing data is sourced from the Land Transport Authority (LTA) DataMall and publicly available operator rate cards. We normalise all prices to a per-kWh basis for fair comparison. Where an operator charges per minute, we convert using the charger's rated power output to estimate an effective per-kWh rate.

The prices shown on this page represent the publicly listed rate at each charging point. They do not include subscription discounts, promotional rates, parking fees, or idle penalties. Operators may update their rates without prior notice — we refresh our LTA DataMall feed daily, but always verify the final price on the charger's display or in the operator's app before starting a session.
